Baltic Sea
- As the Baltic is a "closed sea", the nature is very different to other area's
- The Baltic sea is surrounded by 11 different countries
- Many nice harbour cities close-by offer great "'on-land" visits for rich culture and history
With the Baltic Sea being surrounded by 11 different countries, and within every country very interesting harbour cities (at least 25 large harbour cities in this area), making this sailing area very unique for it's rich culture and history. Furthermore, as a result of it's location, geographically, not being an "open" sea, with much supply of "fresh water" by the many rivers, the nature is very different, adapting to the quite large portion of brackish water in the Baltic Sea.
